Organizers

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Dolomieu Conference 2016, on Carbonate Platforms and Dolomite, to be held in Selva di Val Gardena (Italy) on October 4-7, 2016.

Our conference will take place in the core of the Dolomite Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009. The Dolomites are one of the most imposing and most beautiful mountain landscapes in the world. Furthermore, this amazing carbonate landscape has contributed over the years many key concepts in the field of carbonate platforms and dolomite research.

We have carefully selected the venue  to maximize interaction between participants and facilitate switching between sessions. You will be able to enjoy many presentations in both plenary and parallel sessions, as well as to discuss and interact during the poster sessions. We hope you will also enjoy the social program and the excursions that we are arranging before, during and after the conference, to maximize the opportunity to discover this amazing area and its geology.

We have  teamed up with the UP Transfer GmbH to organize a great conference for you, carbonate and dolomite researchers.

We are very much looking forward to seeing you in Selva di Val Gardena in October 2016.
